           WHERE LIES POWER?

Power according to the definition we are familiar with is the ability to cause things to happen or bring things into existence. Truthfully speaking, I agree with this definition and not just that but also subscribe to it. Despite this definition of power, there is also something that is very crucial to know which has to do with the perception of power. When a huge man, with dispaly muscle all over his body stands beside a slim man, such a huge man to some might be seen as a powerful man. In this same vein, a man may be perceived to be powerful if he/she seems deep in the religion such an individual belongs to. Thus, it is important for us to know here that power exist where we feel it exist.

With this in mind, it shouldnt be diffcult for us to know why some people in our society seem to be powerful and dominating in the rulling of our land. These people, the rulers, know that for you to be seen as powerful, you need to create yourself as God in the life of those you want to lead. Sadly, not even the so-called graduates among us know that there is power lying inside of them, only waiting for a tap. While some others seem to know yet hang the demostration of their power on the situations of the land.

Power will never come or appear in the lifes of the weak but the bold. So if truly we want to move up and soar high, we need to deal with our weakness and concentrate more on our strenght. The likes of Alinko Dangote, Oprah Winfrey, Bill Gate, Bola Tinubu, Barack Obama, Ussain Bolt e.t.c would have been in their closet with no popularity should they focus on their weakness and forget their strenght. Before I go, a word of advice: it will never be completely all right until you step into your situation by yourself. Make no mistake, the wind of change slogan going on in this land at present is not going to give change to anyone on a platter of gold. The change will only come when we brace up for the challenges ahead.

On the note of conclusion, lets look at this example. Three men stood in a house one day, the number one is a hunter with gun in his hand, the second one, the richest man in the land while the last one is the king. Of these three men, who do we call the powerful man? The hunter may seem poor of the three but has gun which can send the remaining two out of this word in a matter of seconds. The richest man of the land who happen to be the second man can decide to buy everything that king and the hunter have without feeling it in his pocket. Then the king, the commander of the territory who can give a command and the hunter with the rich man cease to be. So, with this illustration, it is somehow diffcult to locate where the power lies among those three men. Thus we go back to our question, where lies power?
